Major Duties:
Plan, direct, manage, supervise, coordinate, and/or oversee the activities and operations of the water and wastewater distribution system, water field operations, and some project management as assigned by the General Manager.
Oversee water quality laboratory and supporting testing; ensure that appropriate quality standards are maintained and that all required reporting is complete, accurate and turned in on time.
Direct and oversee the development, implementation and administration of the maintenance plans; evaluate maintenance programs and activities; ensure that appropriate maintenance standards are enforced. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Coordinate with inventory management to ensure that the appropriate items are being purchased and that inventory levels are properly maintained.
Knowledge Required by the Position:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience. Possession of valid driver's licenses issued by the State of Texas for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Possession of a minimum of a Class C license for water or wastewater treatment or distribution.
