Job Title: Utility Field Technician

Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Utility Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading water meters, making minor pipe repairs, and ensuring proper maintenance of utility systems. The role requires physical stamina to carry equipment weighing between 40-80 lbs and the ability to work effectively with office staff and other team members. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (preferred), possess a valid driver’s license, and be available for on-call assignments as needed.

Responsibilities:‍

• Accurately read and record water meter data.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on pipes and utility systems.
• Carry equipment weighing between 40-80 lbs to and from job sites.
• Respond to service calls and on-call assignments as required.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with office staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Drive to various locations as needed to perform duties.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:‍

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and [preferred second language] (preferred but not required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (40-80 lbs).
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to be on call as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
